We at Bayvet are equipped to deal with most surgical procedures. We offer a large range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries.

When your pet is sick or in pain, they're unable to tell you where it hurts and why they are feeling unwell. Sometimes an external examination is unable to determine the cause of your pets illness. This is where further diagnostic tests may be recommended.

At Bayvet we have the latest top of the line diagnostic equipment. This provides timely and reliable results to our veterinarians, which may give a better understanding on how to best treat your pet.

These include an ultra efficient Agfa Digital X-ray processor and IDEXX blood machine. The IDEXX machine returns comprehensive blood results in 15 minutes, which allows us to efficiently make definitive diagnosis of your pets condition.

An annual dental check is a great way of ensuring your pets mouth and their general well being is well monitored. Sometimes the earliest indicator of a problem in our pets teeth is an unpleasant smelly mouth or difficulty while eating.

A large percentage of pets over the age of 3 have some form of dental disease. This is why it's important to have regular dental checks with your vet. We offer a full range of dental care from de-scaling, extractions and polishing. We also provide advice on oral hygiene and preventative tooth care.

We can provide advice regarding your pet's reproduction and ovulation times. De-sexing your pet is an important part of reponsible pet ownership. This prevents unwanted litters and also prevents disease to reproductive organs in elderly pets.

We offer belly clips, lion grooms, full brush outs, de-knotting and nail clipping. We do prefer that your cat is in good health with no underlying illnesses. If your cat is elderly, it is worth having a health check and possibly pre-anaesthetic bloods done prior to being booked in for a groom with us.

All our grooms are done under sedation.

We at Bayvet are all pet owners ourselves and we know how precious they are to us. We understand how difficult it is when it is time to say goodbye.

We offer painless and stress free euthanasia when it is time for them to make that final journey.

We want to keep the experience as relaxed and stress free as possible for you and your beloved pet and therefore offer sedation prior to the procedure.

Cremations are also offered by an offsite cremation company. They offer various options to get ashes and keepsakes returned should you require.
